Shiri’s Sentenced: The 6-01-14 Edition

Holy shit, it’s June already.  How the hell did that happen?

Anyway.

This week’s Sentenced is brought to you by Mike Resnick and his contribution to the above anthology.  Entitled The Hell-Bound Stage Coach, it’s about… well, let’s just say four passengers on said find themselves in strange circumstances and even stranger company.

Page 54, paragraphs 13-18:

“Looks for all the world like a bullet hole, Miss Abigail.”

“… You know, I vaguely remember telling Ezra… if I caught him drinking one more time I would fire him.  He went into a rage… and that’s the last thing I remember…  Does that mean I’m dead?”

“I hate to put it this way, Miss Abigail… but I’ve never seen anyone survive a wound like that.”

“… Who’s going to weed my garden?”
