Prediction: Hannibal, Season 2
This is a graphic trailer. I am not kidding. I am not exaggerating. If may be upsetting. There is blood. There are dead bodies. The trailer contain images which may be triggers for some people. Please take these warnings seriously. And please, please look around and see who else is in the room before you hit play.
Shiri’s Predictions: I loved season one of Hannibal. It was tight in all sense of the word from performance to plot to visuals. It was disturbing. There were a few times I had to look away and I can, and have, talked about necrotizing faciits over a meal. But it was fantastic and I had no notion of it topping itself this time around, especially with one of the major players in prison.
It would seem I was mistaken. This will be one of those shows I watch with phone in another room and computer closed. This is a show I will pay attention to. This is a show during which I will ignore ringing and dinging and tones of any sort.
I can’t wait for February 28th. Stupid Olympics.
Luke’s Prediction: This show was a complete surprise to me, I heard about a prequel series for Hannibal Lector and assumed it would be crap. Hannibal is a villain and only really works as a cipher. But, some how they have made him interesting, and plausible. Where do we start with how great this show is, the cast is amazing. They all play off of each other and some episodes it is hard to tell who the least f’ed up character is (hint, usually it is Hannibal). And each episode is like a painting, a horrible and twisted painting, but one that explodes onto the screen with such craft and beauty that it is hard to look away, even when the subject matter is so horrible.
I think another season will work, but I hope, that they stop the show before it runs out of steam. I wonder how long they can stretch out this story, but then I also thought that a prequel would not have any where to go.
