That Which Shiri is Reading
Blew happily through the 2008-2011 run of Guardians. Good fun. Felt like I was a bit behind the eight ball for the entirety, probably because I am. It’s been ages since I read any of the hero-hero Marvel comics and I have nary a clue what may have happened in Avengers and X-Men over the last several, well… decades. Still, the snark is perfection and Star-Lord had me snorting with laughter every couple of pages and Groot ain’t too shabby either. Also, the costumes the female characters are? Way throwback, which made it a good joke instead of a degrading disaster. Waiting for Luke’s input on where to go next. Even more excited for the flick now than I was before; if they get this attitude right, that puppy is going to be E.P.I.C.
Have only just begun and still parsing things out. There’s some olden days, some as-yet-non-steampunk sic-fi, dueling, and a pretty kick ass library; so far so good. More when there’s more. Normally, I would link directly to the author’s website. In this case I’m choosing to forego because Stephen Hunt’s website has an auto play book trailer with super, super annoying music. I shall attempt to set this aside during my reading.
I hate auto play…
