Why Yes, I Did Go To Star Wars Night at PNC Park…
Despite being the captive of some horrible virus including low grade fever, I made it to Star Wars night at PNC yesterday. Because Star Wars night. And because when I make a promise to my little rebels, I deliver barring traumatic amputation or vomiting. Because those are unpleasant for everyone.
As you can see, it was quite the event:
Personally, I’d think Vader would have better seats, but hey. Not up to me.
Even my shoes got in on the action. As did the mascot. And the players. Boy decided that Andrew McCutcheon was definitely Red 5. Jon tried to convince him Aramis Ramirez was Porkins, but Izzy said no way.
This is my favorite shot of the night. But then, I’m a little partial to both Boba Fett and my kids. Also that sweater:
It was an amazing night for our family, bringing together the two things all four of us geek out about most together: Star Wars and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
If you have an opportunity to join in the festivities in your town, I highly recommend.
May the Force be With Pittsburgh in the NL Central.
