This is more of a clip than a trailer, but it’s all we’ve got at the mo.
Shiri’s Prediction: True to form and sensibility if not to every last detail. Daniel Radcliffe will be fantastic and who knew he could do an excellent generic American? I think the subtle horror will be really effective though I’m not sure about the end bit where there’s actual horror horror — read a review from the Toronto Film Festival in SciFi Now and they seemed to feel there was a bit too much of the spray cheese. Perhaps now that there’s a definite distributor the *deleted* will be cleaned up a bit to add some nail-biting and seat shrinking to the climax moments. I’m prepared for a psychological thriller that goes nasty in the end, tightly plotted, written and executed. If Horns isn’t at least in the “strong like” category, I’ll be both shocked and very disappointed.
Luke’s Prediction: Well, I am a little concerned. Mr. Radcliffe comes off just a bit whiney to me. Now, not that completely out of character, but it feels a bit shrill. Especially not knowing where in the storyline this scene is from (it could really depend, if they kept the non-linear nature of the book or made it more straight forward). I am also slightly concerned about the creators, the writer does not have a ton of works listed on imdb, not a bad thing, but a concern. The director can to tension (e.g. High Tension), but he also did the Hills Have Eyes remake and Piranha 3D. So, even though the clip looks good, I am going to wait for another clip or preview to get really excited.
