Jane le Fay has been with the Salon since the beginning which, as we’ve established, was a very, very long time ago. I suggest you not ask our head bartender her age, however. She’ll cut you off, ban you for life, and, well… look, Oedipus didn’t really gouge his own eyes out, okay? That story about incest? He made that up as a cover for what Jane did to him when he suggested she might have a very slight line on one side of her mouth.
She makes drinks fit for the gods and she’s happy to lend you an ear, so long as you’re not a terrible bore, in which case, it’s pretty likely you’ll be the one lending her something. Lips, tongue, throat…
If there’s something you want and we don’t have it, Jane can get it for you. She knows everyone, literally everyone, in the business and a good number of people who have… ancillary connections. She’s happy to do it, so long as you don’t puke on her bar, bleed on her bar, or explode on her bar or her staff.
